The Drain

Panel 1: The crew laughs over beers and wings in a noisy sports bar. Sam joins in with his beer still full. Brad: “...so I tell him, 'Coach, that’s enough!'”

Panel 2: Sam’s stiff smile remains as he glances toward patrons’ necks. Brad: “You good, buddy?” Sam: “Never better.”

Panel 3: Sam leaves cash and heads toward the door. Sam: “Early start tomorrow.” Jeff: “He always leaves first.”

Panel 4: Alone in his parked car, Sam rests his head and arms on the steering wheel. Silent.
