Panel 1. Before a game in the cheap motel room, Jeff shaves at the bathroom sink and looks into the wall mirror; his reflection matches his pose. Jeff: “Mirror’s free in a sec.”

Panel 2. In the dark main room, Sam sits at the desk and shaves by touch with no mirror, feeling his face with his free hand. Sam: “I’m all right.”

Panel 3. Jeff leans through the bathroom doorway with his razor and watches Sam shave by feel. Jeff: “How do you shave without a mirror?”

Panel 4. Sam wipes the last shaving cream from his perfectly shaved face with a towel. Sam: “Practice.”
