The Clip

Panel 1. In his large, flashy living room, famous TV illusionist Lucas Knox watches a viral clip on his phone: a blurry navy-clad umpire stands beside a mirror that shows no umpire reflection. Knox: “Huh.”

Panel 2. Knox plays the clip again, frame by frame, studying the phone intently. Knox: “No wires. No glass. No editing.”

Panel 3. Knox puts the phone down and stares into space, impressed. Knox: “That is the best trick I have ever seen.”

Panel 4. The next night, a TV crew sets up cameras behind home plate. The catcher and plate umpire face the field while Sam turns to spot the crew behind him. Sam: “Wonderful.”
